Today’s card is one that I posted in our blog hop challenge.
- The butterfly from Beautiful Day was stamped with VersaMark and embossed in gold.
- I made a one inch fold on the top part of the front of the card and used a layer of gorgeous grape to layer on the whisper white thick cardstock. (So cut cardstock at 41/4 x 5 1/2 then score at 4 1/4 and 3 1/4 to make the easel card.)
- I used Daubers onto my stamp pads to put color into the wings.
- I fussy cut the butterfly and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to lift it off the page.
- I stamped the sentiment centered on the one inch top part that created the easel.
- Inside, which doesn’t show, I put a 1/2 inch strip of gorgeous grape about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the card so that when you bend the top page and rest it on this strip, it creates the easel.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m just posting as I can for now. As I get better at this, I will post on a schedule. Please consider following me, so you get notified when I do post. This is going to be a fun ride. (See “about me”.)
