Good Morning Everyone!
Nature’s Prints Just Because Cards! Todays cards were made as multiples! No surprise there. You are on my Mind was the first sentiment I tried. Then I tried the Hello There sentiment. They both work as Just Because Cards and are a good staple in your stash.
Next week, I’m making Blank cards. So tune in for that later and I’ll show you how I use up DSP and maybe throw in a few fun folds too.
Cutting Instructions:
- Base card is Thick Basic White cut at 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4. For this card the fold is at the top in landscape mode
- The first layer is 4 x 5-1/4 x 4 in Blackberry Bliss. I have no idea what color this is supposed to be, but I liked this one.
- The next layer is Basic White cut at 3-3/4 x 5
- Sentiments were added on Scraps of Basic White and Frame was done using scraps of Black Berry Bliss.
Some Insight, lol:
While I was looking for a “frame” for the sentiment, it occurred to me that I didn’t have to use 2 identical shapes. So I started with cutting out the sentiment as small as I could make it. That turned out to be 1-3/4 x 1-1/8 for You’ve been on my Mind and 1-3/8 x 1 for Hello There.
Next I looked at all the frame type die cuts and punches that I have and found one that worked. As an aside, I also got reminded of some of the dies I had, lol. So the multiple process went like this:
I started with Nature’s Prints and the Die Set from the suite “He’s all That” which is called “All That”
I positioned the Flower/Leaf and made my multiples with that and also the sentiments. (See I don’t even know if it’s a flower or a leaf. Sorry!
Then I cut them out using the Mini Stamp Cut and Emboss machine. I can’t wait for the magnetic plate to come out. The large Stamp Cut and Emboss has one and it’s self healing and so strong that dies just don’t move! No need for anything “sticky”
All that was left was to assemble them and put them in their protective sleeve. I get my clear bags to protect the cards from ClearBags. The product number I use for 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 cards is B54PC. I love them for so many things
Please try it doing multiples and then let me know what you think. Does it take too long? Are you glad you did it. Let me know in the comments below.
