I love to stamp. But it’s also nice to make a no stamping Gift Card Holder in just minutes. It’s also a great way to get rid of some pretty DSP you never got around to using. Make these up ahead of time and use them year round! With one pack of DSP that has 12 sheets of paper, you can make 36 of these babies! Just add a quarter sheet of cardstock in complementary colors (total of 9 sheets) and you could hit your whole Christmas Gift list!
I’ve listed the cutting Instructions, Assembly and the Template instructions below the video. Leave me a comment or ask a question and I’ll get right back to you. Enjoy
Cutting Instructions:
- cut 12 x 12 DSP at 10-1/2, rotate and cut at 4 inches ( x 3)
- Cut Cardstock 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 – One sheet gives you 4 card bases.
- Cut 1 piece of scrap cardstock at 2 x 4 and one at 4 x whatever (at least larger than 2 inches) This makes the template.
To Create Template:
- Score 2 x 4 scrap at 1, 2, and 3 inches. Rotate and score at 1 inch
- Using a Ruler, draw lines on all score marks.
- Center gift card on center line. It will overlap the 1 and 3 inch mark by about 1/8 of an inch. Draw a line on each side.
- Using a 1/4 inch punch, punch on the outside of the line on each side. Hold the template up to the other scrap and use it to punch the holes.
- Now place the gift card in-between the holes. You should not see or barely see the gift card. If you fit it right, this will work on your card.
Assembly instructions:
- Score DSP at 2 inches and 5-3/8
- Fold and Burnish with bone folder
- Hold Template on the fold at the 2 inch line and punch holes using the template you made.
- Color ribbon with blends alcohol marker of choice. Cute about 11 inches
- Thread ribbon through the wholes and tie a knot.
