Hello fellow stampers,
Today begins a new year of Blog Hopping with my fellow demonstrators from InKing Royal. It’s an honor to participate with Royals. Please be sure to follow the links at the end to visit them.
This card is inspired from a card I got from my sister Jill. It’s beautiful in it’s clear clean lines. I loved it and had to repeat it using some of our new products. I’ll show you her card at the end of this blog.
Cutting Instructions:
- A2 Card 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 in Landscape
- Country Floral Lane DSP for background cut at 5-1/2 x 2-1/2
- Old Olive cut at 5-1/2 x 1
- Scrap of Basic White for sentiment stamped in Sweet Sorbet and bunched with smaller Heart Punch Pack
- Sweet Sorbet scrap for large heart from Heart Punch
Assembly Instructions:
- Glue Old Olive 1 inch strip to the 2-1/2 inch Country Floral Lane DSP
- Stamp sentiment in Sweet Sorbet on Basic White.
- Punch out both Hearts. Small heart for sentiment and Large heart for base of small heart.
- On second sheet of DSP use Country Bouquet Punch to punch out the 2 hearts and leaves. If you don’t have the DSP you can of course stamp them first and then punch them out.
- I used the large heart outside and put the leaves and smaller heart inside.
- I tied Metallic Woven Ribbon in Parakeet Party. It isn’t the exact color, but I thought looked good with Old Olive.
- Next, I used one of my favorite tricks by coloring my Basic Rhinestones with a Sweet Sorbet Dark Blender Pen
That’s it. These make up quickly because there is just a bit of stamping, punching and gluing. And now for the inspiration from my sister. Here is her card:

Such a sweet card! It’s like that sentiment was made to fit so perfectly inside the Heart Builder Punch! I’m so happy you hopped with us today, Jan!
Thanks Brian. I love hopping with you.
I love your card! The color combining is striking and I really like the punch and die combination you used.
Thanks Sheryl, I started with the punch and I just needed something else. Isn’t that how everyone does it, lol?
Great job. So nice to have a sister that inspires you!
Thanks Renae, she inspires me for so much more than cards!
What a great card! Isn”t it so much easier to use punches than dies? Love the colors of this paper, and your hearts coordinate perfectly.
I do love punches. Dies are good too and easier to store, lol
What a beautiful card, Jan! Love the colors & design!
Thanks Marilyn, it is quick and so easy.
I love your card! I have thought about pairing the heart punches as well. A beautiful card with a fun layout.
Thanks Jackie, I’m trying to use “all” that I have, lol. (That will probably never happen, but I can try)
Attractive card, good template for all occasions. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Lenora, I plan on using it for a future template too!
