It’s Blog Hop Time with the Royals! I love these hops. It makes me think of things I might now focus on. This month it’s all about Flowers and that makes me happy.
I kept my card simple with a few layers, a few dimensionals, a punch and a gem. It comes together quickly and would be a great card for using up DSP, having different sentiments on it, etc. Here is how I did it. I also offer a project sheet. Please let me know if this is helpful or any other ideas you have for me. Project Sheet
Cutting Instructions:
- Basic White Thick A2 size card base (8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 along the long side)
- Basic White 4 x 3-1/4 for flower
- Scrap of Basic White for sentiment and punch
- Sweet Sorbet 4-1/8 x 5-3/8. I wanted the DSP to show. If Eighth inch increments give you hives, cut it 4-x 5-1/4
- DSP cut 5-1/8 x 3-7/8. Again, if this makes you squirm, make it 5 x 3-3/4.
Assembly Instructions:
- Glue Base, Sweet Sorbet and DSP together, set aside to dry
- Stamp Flower on Basic White Glue in center but higher than an even border
- Stamp sentiment and punch out. Or if you are doing multiples, use the template method shown here:
- Add Sentiment at the bottom with Dimensionals and you are done.
I hope you will follow the hop to see what other beauties await you.

Such sweet layers and beautiful colors, Jan! I really love this set and hope we see it in the upcoming Annual. I’m so happy you hopped with us today! ♥
I’m with you. I hope it’s in the new Annual. I’m also anxiously awaiting the color refresh.
Thank you for showing off this beautiful bundle! The classy colors were used to accent the beautiful stamps.
DSP makes color coordination so easy, doesn’t it. I hadn’t used this much, but I’m going to make a bunch more with more sentiments. Thanks for the comment
A perfect clean and simple card. I don’t have this set, but you showed it off well.
Well maybe it will be in the new catty or an online exclusive. I plan to use it more
Lovely, Jan!
Thanks Candy!
I love everything about this card! The colors and DSP are perfect!
Thanks Jessica, I sometimes just pull out paper and DSP and see what I like, lol. It doesn’t always work, but I really liked this one too.
This is simply stunning! Sometimes just an array of balanced layers with a pop of color is all you need. This back to basics design shows how beautiful and easy stamping can be. It is easy to get wrapped up in all the textures, embellishments, fancy folds…etc, but I wouldn’t change a thing about this. It is just perfect!
Thanks Pam. It looks fancy, but it really isn’t. I appreciate your comment.
Clean and lovely for this card! This flower is one of my favorite images. I love how you showcased it with the perfect layers of color!
Thanks Jackie. I love this card too. Not a lot of fuss, but striking (IMHO)
