Hi,
If you saw last weeks Christmas Gift Giving video, you know I got left with 9 holiday punch outs to use. So I decided to create another gift card tag holder, using the punch outs and using Santa Express too, in case you didn’t purchase the Kit. See the post HERE . Picture is below.
These are quick and easy to make and don’t use a lot of paper. You can get on with a 6 x 6 piece of Designer Series Paper or 4 out of a 12 x 12 DSP Sheet. I created a template that is NOT to scale. You can see it below:
Cutting Instructions:
- Cut DSP (Designer Series Paper) 4-1/4 x 4-7/8 in landscape.
- Score at 3/8 and at 2-5/8
- Fold and Burnish. While in the closed position, using the Very Best Trio Punch, punch the top R and L corner
- Open the tag and clip at a mitered angle both the top and the bottom flap.
- Depending on which side is easier to SEE, measure down 1 inch from the center score line and then draw a line from that bottom 1 inch to the top of the flap at an angle (see picture).
- Cut that part out as shown in the diagram.
Assembly Instructions:
- Place Tear and Tape or multipurpose glue on the flap that is folded IN already and then along the bottom of the opposite side of the tag that is not cut
- Punch an 1/8 hole with a punch
- Cut 10 inches of ribbon or cord and insert into hole and tie a knot
- Stamp Sentiment on Basic White and die cut circle out (I used the circle from Celebration Tags Dies
- Stamp Santa in Engine and die cut with the matching die. If you are making multiples, see my video for tips.
- Adhere Sentiment and Santa with dimensionals, one on each side
